Google Chrome Frame for Internet Explorer

by Christopher J Jackson on Friday 26th of February, 2010

in General

Google Chrome Frame is basically a WebKit plug-in for Internet Explorer; to be honest I thought that was clever, hilarious and plausible, most computers in large building nowadays have Windows XP with Internet Explorer 6 installed and it will works on those computers. Honestly I never thought Google would take advantage of Internet Explorer and introduce a better and more accurate engine into the browser.

The reason why large companies won’t install different browsers or upgrade for Internet Explorer is because they want to avoid getting into network issues; they fear that changing or upgrading browsers could change the way how network works within the company. However the plug-in does not change the network stack unless you specify the engine to use it own network stack within the registry, but by default it will use the IE network stack.

It’s easier to get people to install new plug-in then to get them to install a new browser or upgrade their existing browser.

The Truth of PETA: Uncut

by Christopher J Jackson on Tuesday 23rd of February, 2010

Last time I have posted a 15 minute video of Penn & Tellers Bullshit on PETA that was on youtube, now this time I have posted a 30 minutes uncut version of this video self-hosted.

This one was more interesting, what I like about this video is the fact that it’s eye opening and because it eye opening it pisses off narrow minded people, enjoy =)

Personal Questions

by Christopher J Jackson on Tuesday 16th of February, 2010

What makes me happy?

When people are just nice and not exploiting in anyway.

What makes me sad?

When people are either narrow minded, sub-conscious or both.

What makes me angry?

When people are trying to exploit others. Also I find people who lecture on how we should live our lives, very annoying, who are they to shove down our throats?

Do I think anger is a bad thing?

Well not really, expressing your anger make me feel relaxed rather than uptight. Some people don’t know the different between anger and violent.

What do I think people are too worried about?

Psychopaths, I think people should be more worried about the ones who lack self-respect, as it hard to tell the difference between a normal person and psycho.

Would I encourage people to go against society?

No I prefer not to, I would rather see people do things that their human body is comfortable with and how their human body set them to think. Basically be yourself.

What do I think about crazy people?

I think crazy people are wrap up in their self-esteem and are just there to make you think that they are something special, but in reality they are just sad boring mother fuckers. At one time I did think crazy people were more fun but they are not.

Why did I leave MySpace?

Because of the crazy people and the arseholes as well.

What the most stupid thing I did?

Posting photos of myself with the guitar and now knowing how to play the guitar.

What the cruellest thing people did to me?

When they convince others that I was a psychopath, so people wouldn’t talk to me! Just horrible! Partly my fault because I gave them the expression.

What the nicest thing I ever done?

Help an old man by carrying in his shopping, because he was just struggling.

That just about it.

Adorable isn’t she!

Update: She is perfectly healthy, she is usually active when she outside, she didn’t have kittens and she won’t be able to, I appreciate the animal welfare concern but please no more comment on that.

How to Create Custom Ringtones for your iPhone

by Christopher J Jackson on Friday 29th of January, 2010

in General

This post article will instruct you how to create iPhone ringtones with minimal interference to your iTunes Music Library. (Windows Only)

The following application you would need are, Audacity, dBpoweramp Music Converter (with Nero Encoder) and of course iTunes to upload the ringtone to your iPhone.

Step 1: Convert your chosen music file to wav using dBpoweramp Music Converter and make sure the target folder is not the iTunes Library folder, if your music file is more than 30 seconds or otherwise forget Step 1, convert to AAC-LC (Nero Encoder) and skip to Step 4.

Step 2: Open your converted wav in Audacity, select the part you want, make sure it less than 30 seconds and then save the selected as wav file.

Step 3: Convert your wav file (you just save with Audacity) to AAC-LC (Nero Encoder) at a bit rate of 128kbps or below, using dBpoweramp Music Converter.

Step 4: Change the extension from m4a to m4r.

Step 5: Double click the m4r file to add to iTunes Ringtones Library.

Step 6: Sync your ringtones library with your iPhone and enjoy.

Note: This only works with certain encoders such as dBpoweramp Music Converter and iTunes itself, I have also tested MediaCoder audio edition and unfortunately doesn’t work because iTunes 9 doesn’t seem to like the way how the file encoded by mediacoder. Rumours about Apple blocking custom ringtones from iTunes 9 actually turned out to be a myth, it just the fact that it only works with certain encoders.
