Advice on buying someone a Christmas present!

When buying someone a Christmas present, there are things you have got to be aware of, one thing for sure is that it has got to please them and not get them into trouble with the law, in other words don’t buy be a Knock off Nigel, as fake good can ruin someone else’s Christmas as well as your own.

I have received few fake games myself; it was in bad condition as well and it didn’t work, I didn’t let it ruin my Christmas but I wasn’t pleased as I was looking forward to playing them, today knock off games will not allow to play online anyway, so there is no use of getting knock off games, so get the real thing instead.

Also it’s not just games that get knocked off, its other things as well like tapped jewellery, fake DVD’s, fake concert tickets or anything considered stolen really. So anything that is a knock off is not really a present, is it?

Remember “Tis’ the Season to be Jolly, falalalala, lalalala” and not “the season to be in court, bahahahaha, hahahaha.”

Friday 7th of December 2007, a night I will never forget!

It has been quite a surprise that night, I was expecting to get one of these “Students of the Year Award 2006/07” at Wolverhampton College, Paget Rd which I did, but however I wasn’t expecting to get “The Express & Star Graham Award for Outstanding Achievement.” It was really a nice surprise; I still can’t believe I got the award let alone the letter I have received from college.

Some of the people were saying their congratulations to me; mostly all I can say back was either “Thank you” or “Cheers” because I was too surprise to say anything else, seriously. It was an honour to receive the award, a night I will never forget! The award I got was the a certificate, a small tray and a big tray, the small tray I can keep for life, as for the big tray I can only keep that for the whole year, I also got two cheques with my award the college one was £60 (which all the award winners have got) and the one I got from the “Express and Star Graham Award” was £100.

Who was there? My Parents (obviously), my support workers, Glyniss Small, Chris Cooper and my nominator Kerry Cooper, they were there! They really have supported me and other students that also have learning difficulties, I had autism so yes life can be quite hard, if I didn’t get any support than I would have been doomed.

Also there was other award winners, the award winners were Matthew Beckett, Victoria Burnsdon, Victoria Bryan, Yvonne Chambers, Nina Corke, Tracey-Anne Evans, Amy Freeman, Dayle Hallard, David Hanchard, Michelle Hallinshead, Alexandra Issitt, Laura Lewis, Melissa Mason, Tom Mason, Meenakshi Sidhu, David Turner, Edna Wadesango, Sarah Wenlock, Diana Whalley, Gavin White, Emily Wright, Emma Yoxon and Agnes Zelee.

There were other awards as well, the “Kerrang! Radio Award,” which was presented by Emma Scott the DJ of Kerrang! Radio, it was presented to Elena Smitheman. “Gordon Mason Memorial Award” which was presented by his two daughters, Lynda and Susan, it was presented to Luke Postins. “Gilbert Mould Memorial Award” which was presented to Lisa Marie Holt. “International Student Award” which was presented to Navine Graham. “West Midlands Police Award for Positive Citizenship” which was presented to Kirsty Major. The “Employers Award” went to ThyssenKrupp and Nicholas Davis Hair and Beauty, Tettenhall which is a small town at the side of Wolverhampton.

Did I have an interview? Yes I sure did, it was my first time, that I had an interview like this, other interview I had before, I just say I wasn’t on camera and I was in my usual clothing, but on the 7th I was in my Tuxedo holding the tray that I got from the “Graham Award.” In my interview they were asking question, to be honest I don’t think I have said enough, I didn’t announce that who would I like to thank, that was bad!

The next morning I had an phone call from the Express & Star, they have basically ask me a few question which I don’t seem to mind answering, it was just the top question mainly, something like “What was it like when I won the Graham Award?” and “What was it like to go onto stage?”
